With this clear mission in mind, both the in-person and virtual conference is intentionally space-limited with an exciting balance of educational sessions, interactive activities and social gatherings built into the conference schedule to ensure quality time is created and held to allow for genuine real time connection within the coaching community— whether you’re joining in San Diego or from any other part of the world, we’ve created a special place just for you.
Our event is approved for 20 CEUs through the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching, and we’ve also intentionally chosen a special weekend to host the event, which falls during Global Wellness Day!

Why we’re different?
In case you can’t already tell, our event is unique in many ways, the most important of which is that it is a conference that is truly “for coaches, by coaches” —something very rare in the professional event world.
However, to ensure the highest quality and integrity, we as an event intentionally do not accept any corporate sponsors or exhibitors who “pay to play,” something which is common practice for just about every other conference.
Rather, to avoid any type of program promotion, sly sales tactics, biased content, or hidden agendas that seek to bolster the bottoms lines of certain businesses or coaching programs, this one-of-a-kind event is hosted by a husband and wife dynamic duo—both of which are coaches and well-established leaders in their respective fields—who together are fully committed to creating a world-class experience at a reasonable cost without any business bias or unnecessary bureaucracy.
What we stand for
Instead, our grassroots event is fully self-funded (again, something almost unheard of in the conference world, but hey—we like to shake things up and disrupt the status quo).
As such, we provide an opportunity for like-minded individuals and organizations who share our vision around the advancement and diversification of the health and well-being coaching profession and increased accessibility of coaching services to those who need it most to do so by contributing to the event in one of two unconventional ways.
One option available is for companies to provide scholarships to NBHWC-approved coach training programs, exam preparation programs and/or continuing education courses that are made available at no-cost to practicing and aspiring coaches specifically from marginalized and underrepresented groups to provide a path to board certification and continued professional development that will help support a more diverse workforce within the coaching profession.
Additionally, organizations and/or individuals can also provide a monetary donation to our non-profit organization, Real World Well-Being— an organization founded in 2023 ahead of the inaugural The Health and Well-Being Coaching Conference. The focus of Real World Well-Being is to provide charitable and educational health and well-being services— including coaching— to vulnerable, underrepresented, and underserved populations to foster connection and improve physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being for all people.
A key driver for the creation of this organization is to support the fair wage employment of national board-certified health and wellness coaches (NBC-HWCs) within community clinics in San Diego— the hometown of the event— creating both meaningful job opportunities as well as making high-quality coaching services available at low or no cost within communities who can benefit from coaching, but presently lack the means by which to access such programs and services.
